About The Adobe Photoshop 3.0.1 Update Application
Adobe Photoshop 3.0 for Macintosh was inadvertently shipped with a security code time constraint. Therefore, a customer using Adobe Photoshop 3.0 with their system clock date set prior to January 1, 1994 or after December 31, 1994 will receive a message saying their application has expired. The security constraint does not damage the program or hard drive nor does it destroy any files. This Adobe Photoshop 3.0.1 Update application will fix the problem.
To update your copy of Adobe Photoshop follow these steps:
1) Restart your Macintosh without loading extensions. To do this, select Restart from the Finder's Special menu while holding down the shift key.
2) Insert the Adobe Photoshop 3.0.1 Update disk in your floppy disk drive and launch the Adobe Photoshop 3.0.1 Update application (Make sure that no applications are running at this time, including Adobe Photoshop).
3) Locate and select the Adobe Photoshop 3.0 application. Click the Update button.
4) After your copy of Adobe Photoshop has been updated, click OK.
The new version number is not reflected in the Adobe Photoshop startup screen. If you wish to verify that your copy has been updated, select the Adobe Photoshop application, then select Get Info from the Finder’s File menu. If Adobe Photoshop application has been updated it should say 3.0.1 next to the Version category.
